This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a reflexologist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in complementary therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.
This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a reflexologist including, mandatory units covering the following:

Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. This course will provide you with a fully comprehensive education within LASER and IPL treatments. It is an advanced course specialising in reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin using intense light and laser treatments. In this qualification, you will develop an understanding of managing a safe working practice and how to identify and control hazards. You will also learn how to identify hair and skin conditions and those clients suitable for intense light and laser system treatment. Training is held in small groups and during your clinical practice you will be assessed on your occupational competence.
You will learn how to prepare and demonstrate LASER and IPL treatments including: preparation of the therapist, client, working area, full consultation, tissue analysis & Fitzpatrick scale, contraindications, aftercare advice, clinical outcome, clinical side effects, full treatment protocol, recording and evaluation of the treatment - all in compliance with LASER and IPL local rules and legislations procedure.
You will learn how to perform hair removal treatments using IPL and LASER for all areas of the body; setting correct parameters for the hair type and colour on different skin types. The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments is an advanced qualification that has been specifically designed for beauty therapists.
This qualification is based on beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS). This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.

This is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. classroom or other training environments). Entry onto this qualification will require you to have full competence in the vocational subject area that you will be assessing and you will need to access to a cohort of learners, so that you can gather evidence for real assessments.
This qualification has been specifically designed to equip to a wide range of teachers/trainers and facilitators with the requisite skills and knowledge required to full-fill a teaching role.
